Manage a license
Look up a key, give a customer more time, move them to a new PC, pause them or ban them. Every action works on one row or on a whole selection.
Open it now:Users
Open a license
Click a key, press Enter on a focused row, or paste the key into the search pop-up (Ctrl K). The details panel shows everything Atlas knows about it:
| Part | Shows |
|---|---|
| Binding | The hardware ID, the IP address, the location and the device it signed in from. Click a value to open everything linked to it. |
| Timeline | When it was created and when it last signed in. |
| Activity | Its latest log entries, with a link to all of them in Logs. |
| Live sessions | Whether it is signed in right now, with a link to Monitor. |
| Ban history | Every ban that matched it, with a link to Bans. |
Pause, Reset license and Ban are buttons at the top of the panel. The same actions are in the row's menu.
Move a customer to a new PC
A license locks to the first machine that signs in with it. When a customer changes PC, reset it and the key binds to the next machine. There are three resets:
| Reset | Clears | Use it when |
|---|---|---|
| Reset everything | Hardware ID, device, IP address, location. | The customer has a new PC and a new network. |
| Reset hardware only | Hardware ID, device. | New PC, same network. |
| Reset network only | IP address, location. | The address changed or was a VPN. The PC is the same. |
Resetting does not touch the validity or the level. The hardware lock and the IP lock are switched on or off per application in Settings, General.
Add or remove time
Modify time (Adjust time in the bulk menu) adds or subtracts whole days. Type a number or use 1, 7, 30 or 90, then press Add or Subtract.
- A license in use moves its end date.
- A paused license moves the end date it will have when resumed.
- An unused license moves the validity it will get at its first sign-in, so
Unused (30D)becomesUnused (37D)after adding 7. - A lifetime license has nothing to move and stays lifetime.
Pause and resume
A paused license is refused at sign-in with the paused message you set in Messages. Everything else is kept. Resume accepts sign-ins again.
Note, level and entitlements
- Note: free text, searchable, for your own records.
- Level: a number from 1 to 100 that your program reads with
Data::GetLevel(). - Give entitlement: hands one or more entitlements to the selected licenses.
Edit note and level inline (e on a row) or for a whole selection from the bulk menu.
Ban a license
Ban asks for a reason, which is recorded and shown in the bans list. The ban is more than the key. Atlas also records the hardware ID the license last used, its last IP address and the hardware fingerprints stored for that machine, and freezes the license's end date. Any one of them matching blocks a sign-in, so the customer cannot return with a new key on the same PC.
Cascade ban goes one step further: it also bans every other license and account in the application that shares that hardware ID or IP address. Use it against key-sharing rings, not for one customer behind a shared network.
See Bans for how matching works and how to lift one.
Delete
Delete removes the license for good. A single delete waits 6 seconds with an Undo button before it commits. Delete all expired, all unused and all used clear a whole bucket after a confirmation. Deleting is not banning: the customer can still buy and use another key.
Who can do what
An owner can do everything. A reseller or invited helper holds a set of permissions per application, and an action they lack is hidden or greyed out. The relevant ones are Generate, Delete, Edit (pause, note, level, expiry), Reset, Modify time, Export and, for bans, Add and Remove. View My Permissions on Applications lists yours.
