Manage an account

Read a customer's credentials, give them time, reset their machine, revoke a trusted device or block them.

Open it now:Users, Account users

The account table

The Account users tab shows the same table as licenses, with account columns: Email, Username, Password, License (the key an account registered with, if any), hardware ID, IP, location, device, level, expiry, last seen, created and note.

  • Password is stored so you can help a customer, and stays blurred until you hover it. A click copies it.
  • Next to the email, a small cluster of icons shows whether the email is verified, how many keys the account has redeemed and how many devices it trusts.
  • Search matches the username and email as well as the usual fields. Filters, views, columns, bulk actions and export work as described on The Users page.

Open an account

Click the username (or press Enter) for the details panel. On top of what a license shows (binding, timeline, activity, live sessions, bans), an account has:

PartShows
Redemption historyEvery key redeemed onto the account: the key, the days it added, when, from which IP address and the end date afterwards.
Trusted devicesThe machines that skip email verification at sign-in under the account's verification policy, with when each was trusted, its last IP, and how many sign-ins since its last verification. Revoke trust makes that machine verify again at its next sign-in.
EntitlementsWhat the account holds and what is left of each. See Entitlements.

Change a username, password or email

Edit them inline (e on a row), then Save. The customer's next sign-in uses the new values. Customers can also reset their own password from your program when an email is on file, using Account::RequestPasswordReset.

Time

Time on an account works like time on a license, with one difference.

  • An account that has not signed in yet moves the validity it will get at its first sign-in.
  • An account in use moves its end date.
  • A lifetime account that is given days gets an end date that many days from now. Use Set expiry with a blank value to make it lifetime again.

Customers can also add time themselves by redeeming a key (Account::Redeem). The key's days are added to the account and its entitlements move over, and the key is consumed.

Reset, pause, ban, delete

ActionWhat it does
Reset everything, Reset hardware only, Reset network onlyClears the hardware ID and device, the IP address and location, or both, so the account binds to its next machine. See Manage a license.
Pause / ResumeA paused account is refused with the account-paused message. Its end date does not move while paused.
BanBan by username or email from Bans: the account is locked and every hardware ID and IP address it has used is banned too.
DeleteRemoves the account for good. A single delete can be undone for 6 seconds.
