Generate licenses

Make one key or a thousand, in any shape you want: the mask draws the key, the validity says how long it lasts once used.

Open it now:Users, Generate

Open the generator

On Users, License users tab, press Generate. From any page you can also use the plus menu in the top bar and choose License or account. Keys appear in your list at once, unused.

The mask

The mask is the shape of the key. Every character is copied as written, except the seven tokens below, which are replaced by a random character each time.

TokenBecomes
*Any character from the character sets you ticked.
#A digit, 0 to 9.
$An uppercase letter.
%A lowercase letter.
?A letter or a digit. Never a symbol.
!A hexadecimal digit, 0 to 9 and A to F.
~Any letter or digit except I l 1 O 0.

ATLAS-*****-***** makes ATLAS-K7X2M-9QD4B. PRO-###### makes a prefix and a six-digit code. To keep a token character as itself, put a backslash before it: KEY\#-### writes a real #.

The field colors each token as you type, a row of buttons inserts a token where your cursor is, and a shelf of presets fills in a familiar shape: ATLAS classic, Short and mixed, Segmented long, Hex block, Speak-friendly and PIN + prefix. Your last masks appear as Recent.

Character sets and look-alikes

Character sets controls what a * becomes: Uppercase, Lowercase, Numbers or Symbols, in any mix; one must stay ticked. Symbols can break a store, a bot or a spreadsheet that URL-encodes or parses keys, so tick them only if everything your keys pass through handles them.

Exclude ambiguous characters removes I l 1 O 0 from every token that could produce them. Use it for keys people read out loud or write by hand. The choice is remembered in the browser.

How many, how long, how much access

SettingMeaning
Amount1 to 1000 keys in one batch.
License levelA number from 1 to 100 stored on every key. Your program reads it with Data::GetLevel() and decides what that level may use, for example 1 for basic and 2 for pro.
Validity periodAn amount of hours, days, weeks, months or years, or Lifetime. It counts down from each key's first use, not from now. Lifetime keys never expire.
NoteText shown in the license list, for your own records: a campaign, a buyer, a batch name. Searchable.
EntitlementsOptional features or credit packs to give with the key, each with its own length or the one set for it in Settings. See Entitlements.

The sample key and its strength

The card on the left draws a sample key from your current settings; the dice button draws another. Under it, it shows how many random slots the mask has and how many different keys it can make, with a grade (Too small, Tight, Solid, Strong) that compares how many different keys your mask can make with how many you are asking for. A short mask with a big batch grades poorly: two keys could collide, and because the generator discards duplicates it could return fewer keys than you asked for. Add more tokens and the grade rises.

Profiles

Profiles at the top of the form saves the current setup under a name: the mask, the amount, the validity, the level, the note and the character sets. Load one with a click, delete it with the cross. You can keep 10. Profiles belong to your account and work in every application.

After you press Generate

The keys are shown once in a list with a separator switch (new line or comma) and Copy all. Atlas also downloads two text files straight away, one with the keys separated by commas and one with a key per line, ready to paste into a store or a bot. After you close the window the keys live in your list and can be exported from there.

The Free plan allows 300 licenses per application; at the limit the generator refuses until you delete some or move to Premium. A reseller generating keys spends from their stock.

Generate from code

Stores and bots can generate keys without the dashboard: see Stores and the API.
