What is Atlas

Atlas lets you sell a Windows program and decide who may run it. It checks every customer at sign-in and keeps checking while the program runs.

Two products

ProductWhat it doesYou use it through
Atlas AuthLicenses and accounts for your customers, bans, sessions you can end, files and variables served only to signed-in users, updates, and alerts. Protection keeps running during the session, not only at login. The dashboard to manage it and an SDK inside your program.
Atlas ObfuscatorRewrites a finished Windows program so it is hard to read, patch and debug. The dashboard: upload a file, choose protection, download the result.

They work alone or together. Use the Obfuscator with Atlas Auth explains the one rule to follow when you combine them.

How the parts connect

  1. You create an application in the dashboard for each program you sell. It gets an API key.
  2. You put the key and the SDK in your program. The program asks Atlas whether the person running it may.
  3. You generate license keys or accounts and give them to customers, by hand, through a store or through resellers.
  4. The dashboard shows who signs in, who is refused and why. You can end a session, ban a customer or change a rule, and it takes effect while the program is running.

How Atlas works explains what is checked and when.

Three languages

LanguagePackageHow it ships
C++Atlas Auth.lib and Atlas.hLinked into your program. No extra file.
JavaScript@atlassecurity/auth on npmLoads Atlas.dll, which the package installs.
Pythonatlas-auth on PyPILoads Atlas.dll, which the package installs.

Atlas runs on Windows x64. The language switch in the top bar changes every code sample in these docs.

What it costs

The Free plan has every feature and is limited by volume. Premium lifts the limits and unlocks nothing else. Plans and what they change.
